Pretty Lights – Glowing In The Darkest Night – MP3 320 kbps
Pretty Lights (a.k.a. Dr. Derek Vincent Smith) is a Denver-based producer and maker of music that has beats and pops and swirls and production that makes people wish to go to clubs and dance. Glowing in the Darkest Night is the third in a trilogy of albums released free online. He’s toured all over the world, seems like a player in the scene and releases dance/techno music that I, as someone who could at best be called an interested passerby, could get into.
Glowing in the Darkest Night’s strengths are its layers and layers of sound. Some DJ’s go for the minimalist approach, with repetition used in favor of production. Pretty Lights however has the standard bass bumps, electronic whizzes and cackles that everyone knows (and I guess loves?), but decides to add that along with all sorts of random pieces of music. The best description is that this sounds like the musical version of watching a stop motion video of something complex being built – you never knew that the finished project took so much effort and layers to get what you see in front of you.
Starting with “Still Night”’s scratchy, blues crooning opening that sounds like it was recovered from a basement of a 1920s home, it violently leaps into 2010 with moody pianos, horns, bass, electrics and repeated catchphrase call-outs. It meshes all of this together into one package, and is able to do so without sounding like the DJ haphazardly threw in every cool sound he had on his iMac.
The album as a whole is pretty much enclosed within this electronic genre – you’re not getting some otherworldly piece of imagination, it’s not groundbreaking at all in fact. What Pretty Lights excels at is the idea of being one of the better artists within the genre. There are no real missteps here, just songs that veer a tiny bit within the scope of the music. “Shining Bright Despite the Plight” is the best song on the album, because it slows down the drum ‘n bass aspects of his work and instead sounds like some odd ‘70s-based sunny soul song thrown into a microwave of electronics and remixing. It combines something that feels warm and real with something that is cold, plastic and far reaching. Hearing “Shining Bright” is like a journey; he throws in the random line “Don’t push me/cause I’m close to the edge” at one point and you feel shocked, which is what this music should do; it should never keep you content.
Glowing in the Darkest Night is an album that a listener would love if they love the genre. It makes no promises or effort to go beyond it. Pretty Lights sounds like a more old school version of DJ Shadow and comes off as legit within a scene full of new guys putting out half-hearted work. It is the highlight of a genre, which means that fans should pick it up to see stellar production, interesting beats and most importantly, a great tracks to have in a club.

Michael Jackson – Behind The Mask.Project.2012.HD

“Behind the Mask” is a synthpop song by electronic music band Yellow Magic Orchestra, written by member Ryuichi Sakamoto and first produced in 1978 for a Seiko commercial.[1] It was later released in 1979 as part of the band’s Solid State Survivor album with English lyrics added by Chris Mosdell. The song has been performed by many artists since its original release. In the early 1980s, Michael Jackson wrote additional lyrics for the song with an accompanying melody, which has been recorded by himself, Greg Phillinganes, Eric Clapton, and Ryuichi Sakamoto (as a solo artist), among others.

The last of the mohicans- SoundTracks – OST – mp3

Composers: Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman
Conductor: Daniel A. Carlin and Randy Edelman
Manufacturer: Morgan Creek
Background
Director Michael Mann initially asked Trevor Jones to provide an electronic score for the film, but late in the game, it was decided an orchestral score would be more appropriate for this historic epic. Jones hurried to re-fashion the score for orchestra in the limited time left, while the constant re-cutting of the film meant music cues sometimes had to be rewritten several times to keep up with the new timings. Finally, with the release date looming, composer Randy Edelman was called-in to score some minor scenes which Jones did not have time to do. Jones and Edelman received co-credit on the film (thus making this very popular and acclaimed score ineligible for Oscar consideration).
The main theme of the movie is taken from the tune The Gael by Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean.
Rerecording in 2000
The score was re-recorded and re-released in 2000 to address some perceived problems with its original incarnation. The tracks were reordered into their onscreen chronology (the original album separated the Jones material from that composed by Edelman), some additional cues were added, and Clannad’s “I Will Find You” no longer included.
Commercial usage
Music from the track “Promontory” was used for a fall 2007 Nike television commercial featuring NFL players Shawne Merriman and Steven Jackson, also directed by Michael Mann.
